About This Episode
Somewhere along the way, many of us lose touch with parts of ourselves we were never meant to abandon. We become who others need us to be. We learn to survive, perform, keep the peace, and carry responsibilities that slowly drown out our own voice.
In this episode, I share pieces of my personal journey—including a pivotal experience in 2024 that challenged long-held beliefs about belonging, worth, and showing up fully as myself. We explore the ways our inner critic often disguises itself as truth, how survival strategies can masquerade as personality, and what happens when God begins inviting us back to our truest identity.
We’ll also talk about transition seasons, self-compassion, health and healing, and the identity God spoke over my life: Healer & Hope Giver. Most importantly, we’ll discover that coming home to yourself isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about returning to the person God designed long before fear tried to rewrite the story.
Key Takeaways
- Survival patterns often disguise themselves as personality.
- The inner critic is not the voice of God.
- Transition seasons are often seasons of revelation and growth.
- Healing requires compassion, not criticism.
- Belonging is not something you earn—it is something you carry.
- God’s identity for you is stronger than the stories fear tells.
- Coming home to yourself is a process of remembering, not reinventing.
