Devotional 3: Returning to Peace

What if peace isn’t something you achieve, but something you return to?

In this gentle devotional, we explore Isaiah 30:15 and the invitation to find strength not through striving, but through quietness, trust, and rest. Together, we’ll reflect on God’s faithfulness in busy seasons, the beauty of slowing down, and the peace that waits for us when we create space to hear His voice again.

About This Devotional

There are seasons when life becomes so full, so loud, and so demanding that peace quietly slips away without us even noticing. We keep moving, keep caring for others, keep managing responsibilities, and before long we forget what stillness feels like.

In this devotional, I share a personal reflection from the years of raising two little boys just six months apart—a season filled with beautiful chaos, constant motion, and very little quiet. Looking back, I can see how God patiently waited for the day when life slowed enough for me to rediscover the peace that had been buried beneath years of survival mode.

Through Isaiah 30:15, we’re reminded that strength is found not in striving harder but in returning to rest, trust, and God’s presence. If your heart feels rushed, scattered, overwhelmed, or weary, this devotional offers a gentle invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and return to the peace God has been holding for you all along.
