Some of the holiest places in our lives don’t look remarkable at first.
A kitchen table.
A favorite chair.
A morning walk.
A quiet corner where we faithfully meet with God day after day.
Looking back, those ordinary mornings often become the places where our deepest roots begin to grow.
In this devotional, I reflect on the simple rhythm of opening my Bible, pouring another cup of coffee, filling the pages of a worn red notebook, and slowly discovering that while I thought I was waiting for God to change my circumstances, He was quietly changing me.
Together we’ll explore why ordinary faithfulness matters, how God uses everyday rhythms to prepare us for future chapters, and why today’s quiet “yes” may become tomorrow’s testimony.
Because waiting isn’t wasted.
It’s often where God is doing His most important work.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the Lord.”
Biblical waiting isn’t passive. It’s an invitation to remain close to God, trusting that He is working even when we can’t yet see the outcome.

Those who hope in the Lord discover renewed strength—not because every circumstance changes immediately, but because God’s presence sustains them through the waiting.
Lamentations 3:25–26
God is good to those who seek Him. Waiting with Him is never wasted, even when the answers take longer than we expected.

Faithfulness rarely feels dramatic in the moment, but God promises that perseverance will bear fruit in His perfect timing.
